• 9th - Where To Begin? Meeting the Challenge of Plastics in our Lives

         2pm-3:30pm at Pittsford Library, Fisher room

A guest panel will discuss the harmful effects of plastic and how we can make conscious changes to reduce our plastic use. This discussion is inspired by the film We’re All Plastic People Now.  Registration is required through the library (link below) and once registered you will be send a link to watch the film.

• 19th - Speaker John Nelson on Native Species Gardening

         6:30pm at Pittsford Library

​Gardening with native plants helps pollinators and other native species. The speaker, a Master Gardener with the Cornell Cooperative Extension, will describe some of the other benefits of gardening with native plants. Native plants suggestions for sun, shade, wet, and dry locations will be provided.

• 8th - Rooftop Solar Presentation by GreenSpark    6:00-7:00pm at Pittsford Library

Interested in Solar for your house?  This presentation will give you all the information you will need to start the process for a more sustainable energy source and answer any questions you might have!​​

Come Celebrate Earth Day with us at the Pittsford Rec Center! There will be crafts, Kona Ice, and all things green!
